Courtenay Diederich

My name is Courtenay Diederich (pronounced like Ft. Detrick) and I am pleased to be joining CCM as a Special Education teacher. I am originally from Texas, but have lived in West Virginia and as far away as South Africa. While I have worked with students at FCPS for the last 7 years, I have been teaching at Twin Ridge Elementary for the past 5 years. I received my BA and MFA from George Washington University and my Master’s in Elementary Teaching from Frostburg with endorsements in Special Education. My husband and I currently live in the Middletown Valley and have three children, the youngest a junior in college, along with two cats. While education is a big part of my life, I also enjoy hiking, vegetable gardening, quilting and skiing. I am excited to start the school year working with students to achieve their academic goals.
