I have been employed with Frederick County Public Schools since the fall of 2006. I started my career at Monocacy Valley Montessori Public Charter School as an instructional assistant in an upper elementary classroom until October of 2014. At that time, I was asked to become a long-term substitute teacher for a lower elementary classroom until the end of the school year. I was hired as an upper elementary teacher at Carroll Creek Montessori the fall of 2015. This is my third year at CCM.
I graduated from Frostburg University with a degree in Music Education. As I worked as an assistant I was inspired to continue my education so I earned the additional credits I needed for certification in elementary education. I started my AMI Montessori training the summer of 2014 at the Montessori Institute of Milwaukee. I completed my certification in the summer of 2016. I finished my Master’s in Montessori Elementary in the summer of 2017 at Loyola University.
