Mark Your Calendars: 2025-2026 CCMPCS First Day of School by grade level

Kindergarten – 8th Grade First Day of School: Wednesday, August 20, 2025

Four-Year-Old Prekindergarten First Day of School (Returning Students): Monday, August 25, 2025

Four-Year-Old Prekindergarten First Day of School (Newly Enrolled): Wednesday, August 27, 2025

Three-Year-Old Prekindergarten First Day of School: Thursday, September 4th – Thursday, September 11th – Staggered entry for all P3 Students

• Between September 4-11, we will be adding one P3 student each day in each of our three primary classrooms.

• Your child’s first day will be on one of these six days. Once your child begins school, your child will continue to attend every day as new children are added each day to the classroom.

• Your child’s teacher will be in touch with you by August 15th to share more details, so you will know exactly when your child begins school.

Wednesday, September 10th – Back to School Night for Parents and Guardians, 6:30-8:00 p.m. 

This is an opportunity for you to meet the Principal and the CCM Governing Council Chair, and visit with teachers and special subject teachers in the classrooms (this event is for the Parents and Guardians, and not for students)

• Daily drop off:
  • All students: 8:40 – 9:00 am
• Classes start:
  • All students: 9:00 am
• Daily dismissal:
  • Morning-only students (preK3): 11:20 am
  • Full-day students (preK4-8th grade):
    • Monday – Thursday: 3:40 – 4:00 pm
    • Friday: 2:40 – 3:00 pm

2025-2026 CCMPCS Family Handbook is available to download.  An updated Handbook will be posted when summer revisions are completed.

In general: 

• If FCPS schools are open, CCMPCS is open.  
• If FCPS schools are closed, CCMPCS is closed.  
• If FCPS schools dismiss 2 hours early, CCMPCS full-day students (preK4-8th grade) dismiss 2 hours early. 
• If FCPS schools open 2 hours late, CCMPCS opens 2 hours late for CCM full-day students (preK4-8th grade). There is no school for CCMPCS morning only preK3 students on days that FCPS schools have a late start.

CCMPCS school meals are provided through FCPS Food & Nutrition Services.  Visit the FCPS website https://www.fcpsnutrition.com/ for information about CCM school meal prices, menus, and the meal benefit application for free and reduced-price school meals.

CCMPCS follows FCPS policy for food allergies and other food needs. There are FCPS forms and plans (available at this link https://www.fcps.org/student-services/forms) that need to be filled out for students with food allergies and other related needs. CCMPCS students eat lunch and snack in the classrooms. We will have separate areas within the classroom for students with allergies to eat. Students may not share their personal lunch and snacks brought from home.

MMCI, the non-profit charter operator for CCMPCS, has contracted with the Clubhouse Kids to offer before and aftercare programs on site at CCMPCS.
