My name is Kira Messinger, and I am a Upper Elementary teacher. I am excited to teach, learn, and grow with your child this year! I’d like to take a moment to tell you a bit more about myself:
I am originally from West Chester, Pennsylvania, which is a suburb of Philadelphia, PA and Wilmington, DE. Growing up, I attended a Montessori school in Delaware from age two through 4th grade. It was there that I discovered my love for learning and a joy in helping others to discover their own learning strengths. I eventually followed in the footsteps of my elementary school teachers and went to school for education.
I graduated from Pennsylvania’s Millersville University in 2016 with a dual degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. From there, I returned to the school which helped me fall in love with learning, and taught as a substitute teacher and then a Lower Elementary lead teacher.
I have spent the last two summers and school year in Montessori training working toward my American Montessori Society certification in Lower Elementary. As I just finished up my last summer of training, I am now working on completing my training in Montessori Upper Elementary.
